Originally from Louisville, Andrew Simmons lives in Oakland. He teaches high school English and writes for publications. A 2020 book for educators, Love Hurts, Lit Helps (Rowman & Littlefield), addresses how English class literature can help improve the relationships of high school students. He enjoys playing basketball and making music.
