
Originally from Louisville, Andrew Simmons lives in Oakland. He teaches high school English and writes for The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Believer, San Francisco Chronicle, Slate, and other publications. He is writing a book (Rowman & Littlefield, 2019) about how English class literature can help improve the relationships of high school students. He enjoys playing basketball and making music.
